Don't sit next to me.

My policy is "Depend on no one". It isn't a very good policy but people seem to be underwhelming and spiteful at times. In the wise words of William Shakespeare, 'Expectation is the root of all heartache.'

Every shing-a-ling-a-ling, every woah.

As I write a legal studies speech and listen to The Carpenters, I dream of running away.

Bring your sweet dictionary home to me.

I really want a giant dictionary. The ones that have the definition of every word imaginable in them. They are very heavy but very glorious.
(To anyone but myself the image and the post don't really go together, however I like the image and I was posting about something I like, so in a way they do go together.)

I want a cookie sandwich.

A few years ago I went to Bite Me with Be. I want to go again.

Let your arrow go.

Love would be nothing without the sweet tunes of Sam Cooke.

I think of you every morning
Dream of you every night
Darling i'm never lonely
Whenever you're in sight

behold a sight of wonder.

So it is thursday afternoon and I am sitting in my lounge room reading a book. Every ten minutes I hear something squeaky ride past my house, this goes on for about half an hour. The sound ceases for a time period that feels like fifteen minutes, then it happens again. The unknown is annoying me when the squeaky sound happens again so I decide to race to the hallway and try and catch the squeaky noise on its return journey down my street. It took about thirty seconds for the noise to return and when it did I saw a small girl on a bike with training wheels. The scene was beautiful.
Shortly after I heard a bell strike three times and the woman that lives a few houses away say: "Thats a lovely new bike!". The scenario made me smile and I returned to life.

Expectation met.

'500 Days of Summer' was nothing short of my expectations. Brilliant.

Time.

The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of 60 minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is. - C.S. Lewis.

Love seems a foreign concept.

I'm very sceptical at times, but lately it just seems as though love only exists in movies, books and song lyrics. Everything feels under whelming. I stumbled across this amazing engagement shoot by Shannon Nicole Smith today (via Ruffled), and it made me reconsider my evaluation. I love that this couple is so stylin' individually and they are engaged, it is just beautiful.

All the tired horses in the sun...

I spent the last two days in the country, I liked seeing all the ponies and cows in the paddocks.

Juno Temple.

... yet another glory.

Chai and cupcakes.

Afternoons spent sipping chai, eating the mini cupcakes my Mama made, updating software and basking in the splendour of receiving good results from my writing assessment. I like this kind of afternoon.

Paper love.

I am reading The Time Travellers Wife at the moment. It would be convenient to quit my schooling obligations and work through my list of books I want to read. If only.
