In memoriam

Twelve months have passed since the first day of spring. Here we are again, as we will be next year and the years to follow and all the years behind us. Spring is the happiest time of all. Sadly here in the land of Australasia Spring isn't in June, So if they say "when you marry in June, you're a bride all your life", how does that pan out if June is in Autumn? What a puzzle. Happy Spring time. Eat donuts, don't get your hair caught in carnival rides and skateboard your little hearts out.

Carcinogens.

"You can't let your dog crap on the sidewalk, but it's perfectly acceptable to blow carcinogens down other peoples throats. Somewhere along the way, smokers exempted themselves from the social contract."
- from "This Is Where I Leave You" by Jonathan Tropper.

I have had a marvellous time reading this book. Now that its over I feel a little lost but I'm excited for whatever I read next.

Untitled.

My one week of school holidays for the year are over. They came and they went, but that's okay. I spent the week filing, eating and chillin' with my Mam.
On Wednesday Mammy and I took a day trip together. We had many a splendid time and on the way home she demanded that I take a picture of the trees as we drove out of town. I tried but did not entirely succeed. I ended up with a series of photos that if I was more eccentric I would probably exhibit in an "I can't hold a camera still" exhibition, with each photograph titled "Untled Blur. No. 1", "Untitled Blur. No. 2" etc. So here they are.

Journal. vol. 1

As part of my course we have to make a journal of our inspirations for our final film. This is the beginning.
Pegesus: Allows the hero to ride him to defeat the monster. His rider however, falls off his back trying to reach Mount Olympus. (via Wiki)

In a nut shell.

Lets go from the top. My weekend kicked off with me getting my telephone back from the fix it shop, which it probably never did, it probably just sat in the shop and then they handed it back to me and said it was fixed. So with the excitement of receiving modern technology back I took to taking photographs. After getting a coffee with Be we set out on the road to Lella's school open day where we watched the fashion student's garments on the runway. Here me met up with Zee, Mammy and Pappy. In great family tradition we then went to yum-cha. It was divine as per usual. When the gathering came to an end, we all kissed goodbye in the car park. I wished that we could have stayed but life has to keep rolling. So as the day came to a close we steamed some dumplings and buns that we had bought from the grocer and sat down to watch a movie. End day.
So naturally after Saturday comes Sunday. I got to spend the day with Be, so we went grocery shopping and passed the day with knitting and reading. It was very nice and I even went for an afternoon walk. Something I rarely do, but I felt the cabin fever creeping in. I thought I might learn something about my surrounding area on my walk. But all I realised is that it is as boring as I thought and that the police cars park in car spots that match the number on the car. What a supreese! So that was that.
